Free LinkedIn Tools

There are 33 free tools on this page, and none of them asks for an account or your LinkedIn login. They cover the whole job of a post: format the text (bold, italic, bullets, line breaks), check where LinkedIn cuts it at “…more”, count characters against every limit, and make the profile banner, photo frame and carousel PDF. Below them are formatters for X, Facebook, Threads, YouTube and Bluesky and 15 Unicode text generators.

Tools to write and format LinkedIn posts

LinkedIn’s editor is plain text. These add what it leaves out: bold and italic, lists, symbols and blank lines that stay put.

Text style generators and converters

One style per page, for any app that takes text. The last card goes the other way and turns styled text back into plain letters.

Are these LinkedIn tools really free?

Yes. Every tool here is free to use without an account. They run in your browser, so the text you type and the photos you add stay on your device.

None of them connects to your LinkedIn account. You copy the result and paste it yourself, which means no login, no automation and nothing posted in your name. That’s the difference from the outreach tools that come up when you search for free LinkedIn tools.

The styled text is Unicode, not a font. A bold 𝗯 is a different character from b, which is why it survives copy and paste. Two limits come with that: LinkedIn search doesn’t match styled letters, and some screen readers spell them out or skip them. Keep styles for a hook or a heading.

The same tools inside LinkedIn’s editor

Post Formatter is also a browser extension. It puts a formatting toolbar in the composer on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Pinterest, so you select a word and click B instead of copying text between tabs.

On LinkedIn it adds the Live Feed Preview with the Hook check, a drafts library, Post insights and Smart Paste, which converts formatting pasted from Google Docs, Word or Notion. It’s free to install; Pro adds 20+ premium styles and AI Proofread.
