Strikethrough Text Generator
Cross out any text and paste it anywhere. Great for price drops, corrections with personality, and the classic "what I meant to say" joke format.
Quick answer: This tool adds a Unicode combining long-stroke character after each letter, which renders as a line through your text (l̶i̶k̶e̶ t̶h̶i̶s̶). Because it is plain text, it works on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Discord and WhatsApp, no formatting support needed.
How to Use the Strikethrough Text Generator
Strikethrough is the only "edit visible" style, it shows what changed. Only Discord and a few chat apps support it natively, everywhere else you need the Unicode version this tool produces.

Your text instantly appears in crossed-out Unicode text. No button to press, no sign-up.

Paste it anywhere
Paste into LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, anywhere that accepts text.
What Strikethrough Is Good For
Marketers use strikethrough for prices (was 9̶9̶ now $49), writers use it for the joke where the "deleted" thought stays visible, and project updates use it for done items in a list. It communicates change without extra words, which is exactly what scanning readers reward.
Technically, the generator inserts U+0336, a combining character, after every letter. Some fonts draw the line slightly higher or lower, so the effect can vary a little between devices, but it stays readable everywhere. Keep struck phrases short: a few words read as wit, a paragraph reads as noise.
