Is Post Formatter free?
Yes. The core formatting (bold, italic, bold italic, strikethrough, underline and case) is free forever with no sign-up. Post Formatter Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks the live LinkedIn preview with Hook check, Post insights, saved posts, AI proofreading, 20+ premium styles, Smart Paste and Drafts Pro.
What's the difference between the plans?
There's one Pro tier. Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime all unlock exactly the same features, and the only difference is how you pay: Monthly is the lowest commitment, Yearly is the best value (save ~70%), and Lifetime is a single payment that never renews.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel with one click from your Stripe customer portal (accessible from the extension's Settings → Manage subscription). You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
Can I pay once instead of subscribing?
Yes. The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment with no recurring charges, and it includes future features.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Install the free extension, then upgrade from inside it whenever you hit a Pro feature. Upgrading takes a quick sign-in (Google, Microsoft or email) and a secure Stripe checkout.
What does the free tier include?
Unlimited bold, italic, bold italic, strikethrough and underline (plus UPPERCASE, lowercase and clear) on all 7 platforms, opening and editing your saved drafts, and a few free uses of each premium feature (20+ styles, AI, post previews, Smart Paste and saving drafts) so you can try them before deciding.
Do I need an account to use the free features?
No. The free formatting works with no sign-up. You only sign in if you choose to upgrade to Pro.
Where do post insights come from? Is my LinkedIn data shared?
From the numbers LinkedIn already shows you on your own posts. Post Formatter reads them while you browse your LinkedIn activity and keeps them in this browser only. Nothing is sent to our servers, and you can clear them any time.
Can I use Pro on multiple computers?
Yes. Sign in to the extension with the same account (Google, Microsoft, or email) on each computer and your Pro access activates automatically. Drafts are stored locally on each device, so they do not sync across machines.
Where are my drafts stored? Can you see them?
Your drafts live entirely in your browser's local storage, on your device, they never leave your computer and we cannot see or access them. The extension only contacts our servers for sign-in and Stripe checkout; everything you write stays on your machine.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed via Stripe, we never see or store your card details. The checkout happens on Stripe's own hosted pages.
