Bubble Letters, Circled Numbers and Where They Shine

The circled alphabet was added to Unicode for Japanese typography, where circled numbers mark list items. That original use still works brilliantly: circled digits ① ② ③ make cleaner list markers in a social post than "1." ever will, and they survive any text field.

For letters, bubble text works best in small doses, a bubbled word in a bio, a username accent, a birthday post. The squared variant (🄰 🄱 🄲) is heavier and uppercase-only, closer to badges or scoreboard tiles than to bubbles.
